So, even though you’re introverted, let the world know that you stand for Christ. It is our commandment in Jesus. Mark 16:15 says, “He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation.” We were all created to be individuals with traits that vary from others. But the beautiful thing is that we all have a common mission in Christ: to build up God’s everlasting Kingdom by bringing the message of salvation in Christ to all who will hear!
As an introvert, sharing our faith can be a little extra challenging. But rest assured that God will empower you in every way through the Holy Spirit within you! In Acts 1:8, Jesus says, “You will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”
As an introvert, this doesn’t always look the way it does for those on the extroverted side of things. Perhaps it’s something as simple as a t-shirt you wear in public that proclaims your faith. Perhaps it’s through writing a blog and sharing your faith on the internet through the written word. There are numerous ways that God can equip you to evangelize to others while still honoring the introverted qualities that make you who you are!
So, don’t let fear or hesitation hold you back. God will walk before you and pave the way. All you have to do is be obedient to Him. He has called you to be a powerful witness to His Kingdom, and you have everything you need to live out that purpose in your life.
Reflection Questions:
- How does God call you to share the Gospel with others even though you’re introverted?
- How does God empower you through the Holy Spirit to share your faith with others, doing what you would normally not be able to do on your own power?
Prayer
Lord, thank You for the way that You have created me. I am grateful for all of the unique qualities that make me who I am. They are all a gift from You. Help empower me to share my faith with the world, even when it is hard with my introversion. Show me ways that I can honor those introverted qualities yet still make Your name known to everyone I meet. In Your holy and beautiful name I pray, Amen.”
